To nurture financial literacy, entrepreneurial thinking, and practical business skills among young learners, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, observed a week-long Commerce Week from July 7-14, 2025. The celebration aimed to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that extended beyond the classroom, enabling them to understand the real-world applications of commerce.

The event commenced with a thrilling Guess the Logo activity for students of Classes VI to VIII. This engaging challenge tested their observation and awareness of popular brands, sparking discussions on brand identity and marketing strategies.

On Day 2, learners of Classes IX and X exercised their analytical skills through a cryptic Crossword Puzzle Activity. Centred on accounting and business terminology, the activity not only enriched their vocabulary but also strengthened their conceptual understanding of commerce-related terms through interactive learning.

Day 3 witnessed an electrifying Ad Mad Show for Classes IX and X. Participants demonstrated their creativity and persuasive communication skills by creating quirky, unconventional advertisements. This activity tapped into their innovative spirit while giving them a taste of marketing dynamics.

To inspire future business leaders, students of Classes III to V participated in a Role Play activity, where they emulated iconic business personalities. Dressed as their role models, young learners confidently shared inspiring stories of visionary entrepreneurs, learning valuable lessons on leadership and perseverance.

Adding a critical dimension to financial awareness, Dr Sonal Babbar, Associate Professor of Commerce at Maitreyi College, delivered an insightful session for students of Classes IX to XII on the prevention of fraud in online transactions. The interactive talk equipped learners with practical tips on cyber safety and the significance of secure digital practices in the modern economy.

The grand finale of Commerce Week was an invigorating fundraising activity. Students of Classes XI and XII set up vibrant stalls, offering delicious homemade delicacies and thrift items. The initiative not only tested their entrepreneurial acumen but also fostered a sense of social responsibility, as the proceeds were donated to the Interact Club for a noble cause.

Commerce Week 2025 successfully blended fun with learning, encouraging students to think critically, act responsibly, and develop essential life skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, and financial prudence. It truly reinforced the idea that commerce is not just a subject but a practical skill that prepares learners for life beyond school.
