My winter break adventures

This winter break turned out to be quite interesting for me. Although it may have seemed boring to some, I managed to explore new things, making it a unique experience. One highlight was taking care of a baby pigeon. Additionally, I delved into researching the changes in our bodies before and after the pandemic. Here’s a summary of how I spent my winter and, yes, I also devoted some time to studying – I know, not the most thrilling winter vacation.

On December 11, I discovered a pigeon egg, sparking my fascination. I observed its details, noticing small red patches. A week later, one of the eggs hatched, and a chick emerged. I began daily routines of providing seeds, helping the chick grow. Over the weeks, it transformed into a small pigeon. I taught it to fly, and after some practice, it flew away into the sky, giving me a grateful look, as if thanking me for the care.

While tending to the baby pigeon, I also conducted research on students’ physical and mental health. Inspired by my brother’s idea, I turned to Google and discovered alarming trends. Many students experienced a decline in both physical and mental well-being, with a significant number becoming sedentary and opting for shortcuts.

In today’s world, there’s a widespread addiction to YouTube and gaming. Contrary to the trend, I moved away from gaming in 2021 when I got my glasses. The shift allowed me to reconnect with nature. Despite feeling a bit lonely when friends discuss gaming, I am grateful for the awareness that led me to a healthier lifestyle. Now, as friends regret their excessive gaming, I appreciate the advice of elders who always knew better.
