A good school provides quality education to its students while on the other hand, an appropriate school focuses on the overall development of a child. Therefore, it is always advised to choose a school for your child which focuses on holistic development and not just academics.

One such institute is Apeejay School. The school has over five decades of legacy and provides a stimulating learning environment for all of its students. Hence, parents like Jishu Duggal, mother of Aahana Duggal, a student of class V, studying at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, had no qualms in admitting her daughter here.

In a candid interview, the mother speaks highly of how the school has helped her daughter to upskill.

How has been your child’s experience in this school so far?

My child’s experience at this particular school has been truly exceptional. Throughout her academic journey, we have not encountered any challenges or issues.

Did you ever second guess your decision?

Never. I don’t think I ever needed to give it a second thought; I am super satisfied with my decision to choose this school. There could be no better institution than this for her schooling.

What are her favourite subjects?

Aahana’s favourite subjects are Math and English. She seeks active interest in reading books daily. Her active participation in school activities has made her more vibrant and enriched her proficiency in English. She continues to work diligently which continues to flourish, her overall growth and development as a confident individual.

Is she involved in any extracurricular activities?

Yes. My daughter loves to participate in all sporting activities. Recently, she went to the Inter-school Kho-Kho competition. Moreover, she also has a knack for dance; she participates in different annual day functions and cultural events held at school.

How do you encourage her to study at home?

I think God has been in my favour in terms of helping Ahaana study. I have heard most kids are fussy when it comes to studying at home. However, there are no such issues with Aahana. She knows when to study and when to play.

How do you spend quality time with your daughter?

We share a special mother-daughter relationship. She and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen where we share each other’s daily experiences. Our activities involve playing imaginative games like student-teacher and shopkeeper that bring joy and laughter into our home. On weekends, all four of us plan for educational and historical trips.

What do you appreciate the most about this school?

Ever since Aahana joined this school, the school has improved her cognitive skills. The teachers here are highly approachable and super cooperative. They are the ones who motivate students a lot which is the first and the most appropriate way to step up their education.

Her recent achievements.

Since Aahana is an active kid, she has achieved a lot over the years. Recently, one of her poems which was dedicated to mothers, was published on https://apeejay.news/

What’s your parenting mantra?

I maintain a calm demeanour. I don’t believe in putting pressure on her. It’s not always necessary to keep running after your kids, forcing them to study. A slow and steady approach, without any external pressure, always brings fruitful results.
