‘My children have never refused to go to school’

Agam and Harjyot are class 4 and 10 students at Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 15. The siblings are keenly interested in science and mechanics fascinates them the most.

In a quick interview, their mother Mrs Neha Hanspal shares the progress reports of both the children and explains what makes this school the best place for both her children.

How are Agam and Harjyot doing at the school?

They are doing very well at the school. They are learning so many new things at school. The school staff is very cooperative and the teachers are very nice.

Harjyot is in a decisive phase in his life. Which stream will he opt for in class 11?

He will opt for PCM which stands for non-medical science stream. He wishes to become an engineer – that’s his passion. He is very clear and firm in his mind. 

What sparked his interest in engineering and any specialisation he has in mind?

He wants to go into mechanical engineering. His father is a businessman, dealing in machine manufacturing. Hence, he has been interested in machines since his childhood. Agam is also very interested in cars and their parts . So, I think he too will follow in his brother’s footsteps.

And how are the teachers doing their job?

They are taking so much pain in each and every class. Truly, a big salute to all the teachers, they put their heart and soul in every lecture. And they are so approachable. We parents can call them even in the evening and ask about our child’s progress.

Which subjects do they brothers like the most?

They like all the subjects but Math and Science are their favourite. They are also good in the languages and social sciences subjects. The school teachers ensure they have a balanced performance in all subjects.  

Do they participate in sports and extracurriculars?

Agam takes part in all the races and badminton matches at school. He had joined the football academy as well.

What is the best aspect about the school?

The school encourages all students to take part in all activities. The teachers do not only drag those students who are interested to participate but they also make sure that those students who are lacking in any social skill also participate, so that they develop the skills in the process.

Both my children have been here since Nursery and are very comfortable here. There is a bonding like a family and it has never been the case that my children refuse to go to school.
