A day brimming with gratitude, joy, and creativity as Apeejay’s IB School, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park, celebrated Teachers’ Day with warmth and exuberance. The school auditorium transformed into a vibrant stage of performances, reflections, and heartfelt tributes, as students from the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) came together to honour their guiding lights.

The celebration began with a solemn tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose vision of education continues to inspire generations. Students reflected on the role of educators as true pillars of learning — mentors who shape not only intellect but also values, character, and compassion.

What followed was a colourful spectrum of performances, each brimming with energy and admiration for teachers. The youngest learners, from Nursery to PYP-1, set the tone with a lively opening dance, their innocence lighting up the auditorium. Soon after, the melodious voices of PYP-4 filled the air with musical delight, while the PYP-3 performers had the audience tapping along to their rhythmic beats. MYP-2 raised the energy with a dynamic dance, and later, a soulful band featuring students from PYP-5, MYP, and DP enchanted the audience with harmonious tunes.

The programme also featured thoughtful speeches by PYP-2 and 5 students, who expressed their gratitude with sincerity. A skit performed by PYP-2 and DP-1 showcased both humour and dramatic flair. The grand finale, a cultural dance by DP-2, wrapped the performances with an explosion of colour, rhythm, and spirit.

Adding to the excitement were interactive segments where students and teachers joined hands for trivia rounds, quizzing each other on academics, pop culture, and quirky faculty facts. The ‘tagline tributes’ turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights; each teacher was introduced with witty, affectionate titles like Math Magician and Professor of Prokaryotes, sparking laughter and applause across the hall.

The emcees ensured every educator felt cherished, applauding their unique contributions, warmth, and dedication. A student-produced video, capturing candid classroom moments and bonds beyond books, served as a touching reminder of the joy of learning.

The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by Ms Neha Sharma, Vice-principal of the school. She urged students to nurture curiosity, creativity, and compassion, values that lie at the heart of true education.

It was not just a celebration but a powerful reminder that at Apeejay’s IB School, teachers are more than facilitators, they are mentors, motivators, and lifelong inspirations.
