We all talk about growth – be it our personal or professional life. It keeps us on our feet. And yet, strangely, we prefer to keep our finances stagnant. This is where Moksh Dheri, a senior relationship manager at SN Capital Management Pvt Ltd steps in, who calls himself a true Apeejayite.

“Not only did I graduate from Apeejay Stya University (ASU), I pursued BBA in Finance, but I also did my schooling at Apeejay School, Pitampura. I have a simple mantra for all: It is smarter to invest your savings instead of keeping them in an account. After all, money growing steadily is better than it being locked in the bank,” said the expert who also reminisced on his educational journey among other things.

What does your work entail?

I am a senior relationship manager. My work is to generate sales for investment in the Pre-IPO (Initial Public offering) shares and arrange meetings with potential clients for the same. It is a demanding job and I have to be at my feet all the time.

What exactly inspired you to join this field?

This field is related to finance and I have always had a knack for finance and the stock market. It is hard to get an opening in today’s day and age. So, I thought that this would give me a great start in the corporate world. And here I am.

What are your best memories of ASU?

Playing table tennis and attending workshops. Those were the days! I am also an alumnus of Apeejay School, Pitampura. Like all other Apeejayites, I too have immense love for my school as well. From the school to the college campus to the teachers, to the students – everything was fabulous. I keep great memories in my heart from those days. Truth be told, the memories keep inspiring me even now.

We heard you play the guitar and badminton well. Tell us about it.

I started playing the guitar when I was in class VI. Learning the instrument at first was very hard but as I practiced, it became easy. Badminton on the other hand is my stress buster. I have also played at the zonal level tournament for my school.

One life lesson for the present students?

Enjoy college life and learn new skills that will help you in the future. Keep it simple! Ensure that whatever is being taught to you is retained.  There are so many things that one can learn – be it in school or college. All one has to do is be open to learning. The more skills you learn, the better your chances of excelling when you start your professional journey.

One finance tip people must know.

Everyone has different goals. Some people want to save to buy a house, some a car, and some people have long-term goals. But the one thing that is common and applicable to all people is that they need money. Therefore, don’t focus on saving money. Rather invest and watch your money grow.
