The journey of 75 years of independence is a reflection of the hard work, sacrifice, innovation and enterprising spirit of all Indian citizens. India achieving this huge milestone and refashioning itself to match the footsteps of an ever competitive world speaks how well-equipped the nation and its citizens are. The entire nation at the moment is rejoicing in the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. Citizens are hanging the tricolour flags from their balconies and streets are glowing in the tricolour light. Schools and Colleges across the nation are engrossed in celebrating the independence week and Apeejay International School, Greater Noida is not at all behind in spirit.

Pre-primary wing students of the school celebrated the 75th independence anniversary week in some style and pomp.  The school organised several activities that were in sync with the ‘Azaadi Ka Amit Mahotsav’ government-led initiative.

On this occasion students of Kindergarten and Nursery did a fabulous ramp walk dressed as their favorite freedom fighters. Meanwhile, students of classes I and II recited patriotic songs and slogans. They also expressed their gratitude to the nation through musical and dance performances on patriotic songs.

As part of these creative activities, students also enjoyed making  tricolour sandwiches. These competitions and cultural performances helped students understand the concept of nation-building from a grass root level. It engages their imagination in a constructive manner while enabling them to practice the values of togetherness and team spirit.

Further, a special assembly was also held which was presided over by Mr Sandeep, Editor of Amar Ujala and Principal of the School Dr Sarita Pande. Mr. Sandeep appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and applauded their performance.

Congratulating the students for their tremendous efforts and highlighting how every citizen must take full responsibility for their actions to take the nation to greater heights, Dr Pande said, “Freedom is a very big responsibility. But the way in which Apeejay International School, Greater Noida is grooming the children, they are enabling them to use that freedom in a holistic manner in their life. I extend the greetings of Independence day to all.”
