Self-help books have been preaching all to practice gratitude since the past century. However, the primary step towards that aim is to thank the nation that sustains us. One must be grateful to the nation for bearing us, protecting us and giving us its resources to ensure our holistic development.

Apeejay Education Group is ever grateful to the nation especially keeping in mind the rich legacy the organisation has in terms of the nation’s independence. Its Founder-Chairman Dr. Stya Paul was imprisoned for 55 days during the freedom struggle. Despite the draconian laws, Dr Paul fought relentlessly within his capabilities for an independent India.

The Apeejay Stya Group therefore always honours the nation in everything it does. Members of the Apeejay family across Delhi, Gurgaon and Jalandhar celebrated 76th  independence day. All employees gathered together dressed in tricolour traditional Indian attire.

Teams working from offices at Delhi, Gurgaon and Jalandhar not only proudly hoisted and saluted the National Flag, but celebrated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with much enthusiasm and gusto.

The celebrations at the head office in Delhi commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony through the hands of the tiny tots of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. The future citizens of the nation were very excited and eager to hoist the Tricolour and wave it in the air. The flag hoisting was accompanied by the singing of the national anthem.  Students melodiously patriotic songs and made everyone join in during the favourite national hymn ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha Hindustan Humara’.

Similarly, the Gurgaon and Jalandhar offices had a total tricolour theme decoration for the celebrations. Snacks and tea were served to all present following the singing of the national anthem.

An interesting online quiz activity on the theme of independence had all the employees thinking hard about the answers. Mr. Farheen, Mr. Nikhil Anand and Mr. Saurabh Gautam were the top scorers of the quiz contest from the Gurgaon office. Mr. Saurabh Jadli, Ms. Nidhi Jain and Ms. Anika Manocha were the top scorers from the Delhi Head Office. The event concluded on a happy note as all employees came together for a team selfie. The happy faces coloured in the hues of the tricolor had a patriotic fervour in the eyes and a determination to help make India the best nation in the world.
