These elements combined to shape me into a better individual both academically and personally.

The education I received at ASM played a pivotal role in preparing me for my current position as a research associate. Beyond the theoretical knowledge, the guidance and mentorship provided by teachers were invaluable. They not only imparted academic wisdom but also nurtured our personalities to align with the corporate world’s requirements. Practical exposure through activities like mock interviews and public presentations helped in building confidence and essential skills that are now integral to my role.
Could you tell us about your journey from being a student at Apeejay to your current position? What steps did you take to reach your current career path?
My journey from being an Apeejay student to my current position was a result of meticulous planning and dedication. The initial step was to identify my interests and passions, seeking guidance from my teachers on how to excel in my chosen path. This involved selecting the right courses, learning stress management techniques, and developing skills relevant to my field. Consistent daily learning and in-depth preparation for interviews paved the way for my career as a research associate.

Among the myriad memories, one that stands out is our farewell day. It was a bittersweet moment, symbolising the end of our academic journey at the institution. Farewell day allowed us to reflect on our experiences and equipped us with the emotional fortitude to navigate the path ahead. It was a poignant and deeply meaningful day etched in my memory.
As a research associate, what are your primary responsibilities, and how do you contribute to your organisation’s objectives?
As a research associate, my core responsibilities entail reporting directly to my manager for assigned tasks. Our organisation is dedicated to serving clients by making data more accessible through our app. My role directly contributes to this objective. I work diligently to ensure that our clients have access to the information they need to make informed decisions. This, in turn, supports our organisation’s overarching goals and objectives.
How do you stay updated with the latest trends and developments in your area of research? Any recommended resources or strategies?
Staying updated with the latest trends and developments in my research area is crucial for me. Here are my strategies to achieve this: I begin my day by reading newspapers or scrolling through news updates on my mobile device to be aware of current events. I also gather all relevant documents and resources related to my research area in one place, making it easier to spot connections and identify trends. To decode complex data and trends, I use tools like Excel or Power BI to create charts, graphs, or dashboards.
