Written by Arijit Roy: Sneha Swapnil is a Senior Analyst at American Express in Gurgaon. An alumna of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Sneha pursued her Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Operation.

Narrating her professional life in a quick chat, she mentions how the faculty in the Delhi-based MBA college played a huge role in shaping her confidence. Read edited excerpts:

How does a regular day at work look like?

It is quite busy! I work from 8:30 am to 5 pm. My office functions in the hybrid mode, which saves me the daily travel exhaustion. I work in the KYC department and I check all the KYC documents of the clients who have our credit card. The work is not that stressful and I enjoy it a lot.

Throwback to the time at ASM! Any special takeaways?

I improved in many mental and emotional skills and also enhanced my communication skills. I have given many presentations and explained business models at ASM as part of the curriculum, and thereby, I gained my confidence immensely and it was a great experience.

And did ASM guide you well in the placements?

I got placed from the campus itself. And yes, I was trained very well by my mentors and teachers, be it for the group discussion or interviews or resume writing, I was taught everything perfectly!

But how did the teachers help you?

They were all so helpful. Monika Ma’am was my mentor in my first year while I was under Ruchi ma’am in my final year. They helped me a lot and I am what I am today partly because of their learnings.

And did you enjoy the extra-curriculars at ASM?

I am a trained classical dancer. I got to perform 3-4 times at freshers, farewell, and other events at the college and that platform was so great! It meant so much.

Next targets in your career?

I got promoted to senior analyst a month ago. I am on maternity leave currently and will join soon in a month and then in two years I look forward to achieving the manager position.
