Bytes of Brilliance: Delhi school hosts tech extravaganza

The pulsating energy of technology and innovation took center stage on Saturday, August 5, as Apeejay School, Saket proudly held ‘IMPULSE 2023,’ an Inter-School Computer fest that left everyone captivated. With the spirit of enthusiasm and curiosity, 21 esteemed schools participated in this grand event, joining hands with the chief guest, judges, and passionate participants, to celebrate the dynamic world of technology.

The day began with a heartwarming Guru Vandana, where the blessings of the Almighty were invoked, setting a serene and contemplative mood for the day. Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, the Principal of the school, extended a warm welcome to the guests, teachers, and students from various schools, marking the beginning of this unforgettable journey. The excitement took an educational turn with an eye-opening movie on ‘Cyber Safety and AI,’ presented by a team of bright young technocrats from our own school, shedding light on the importance of staying safe in the digital world.

The Chief Guest, Smt Niraj Tokas, Assistant Commissioner of Police, SDPO CR Park, South Delhi, graced the event with her presence and shared invaluable insights on cyber safety and the responsible use of technology in our increasingly digitalised world. Her address resonated deeply, leaving the students with a profound understanding of the impact and significance of technology in their lives.

Adding to the splendour of the day was the unveiling of the annual school magazine, Srijan, capturing the essence of the academic year 2022-23. The esteemed chief guest, accompanied by the principal, did the honours of releasing the magazine, commending the editorial board of the school for their meticulous efforts and lauding the students for their creativity and dedication.

As the day progressed, the crescendo of excitement reached its peak during the valedictory ceremony, where glimpses of the intense competitions held throughout the day were presented to the audience. The winners of the various events were then announced, with each participant beaming with pride for their exceptional achievements. It was a moment of validation for the hard work and dedication poured into each challenge.

The climax of ‘IMPULSE 2023’ was marked by the heartfelt vote of thanks, proposed by Ms Mamta Ghai, the event in-charge and the Head of the Computer Department. Her gratitude resonated with all, reminding everyone of the collective effort that made this day memorable and vibrant.
