Apeejay Zenith-2023 made a grand spectacle
The event witnessed an array of participation from schools across the city

Anubha SinghIt was all pomp and show at the Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMTEC) in Rama Mandi, Jalandhar recently. After all, it was time for the Apeejay Zenith-2023 which made all the noise for being the highly successful and diverse inter-school event.
More than 1,000 students from 25 schools across Punjab participated in the event. Schools like Jalandhar Public School Jaitewali, British Victoria School, Goindwal, Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Cambridge School, Kariha, Nobel School, CT Public School, Dehradoon International Public School, Bhabiana, Apeejay School Ramandi, and Apeejay School Mahavir Marg, along with many others were actively involved during this fest.
There were 20 competitions, including Business Plan, Debate, Quiz Competition, Mehndi, Rangoli, PowerPoint Presentation, Cartooning, On-the-spot painting, Network LAN Gaming, Group dance, Folk Dance, Science Model Exhibition, Solo Dance, Solo Song, Group Song, Stand Up Comedy/ Mimicry/ Mono Acting, Fastest Mathematician, Programming Skills, Best Out of Waste Competition, and Treasure Hunt.
The inaugural ceremony, marked by the lamp lighting and a welcome address by Dr Rajesh Bagga, the Director of AIMETC, set the tone during the event. Dr Bagga emphasised the educational significance of such competitions in polishing students’ intrinsic potential and fostering their passion for learning.
Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, the Chairperson, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, conveyed her best wishes and highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities in developing life skills among students.
“Madam Chairperson expressed that such events bring out the latent talent of the students and give them the exposure necessary for their overall development. Madam Berlia always stresses the importance of co-curricular activities in inculcating life skills among students, and Zenith is one such platform where students get to showcase and hone such skills as teamwork, effective communication, and analytical and logical ability,” Dr Bagga added.
A presentation on the academic and co-curricular front of AIMTEC provided insight into the institute’s accomplishments. The winners received trophies during the closing ceremony of the event.
The event coordinator, Mr Amanpartap Singh Pall, concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the audience. “Apeejay Zenith 2023 appears to have been a successful platform for students to showcase their talents and for the participating schools to foster a spirit of healthy competition and skill development,” Pall added.
According to Dr Ajwinder S. Dhillon, Assistant Professor, School of Management, AIMETC, “This inter-school multi-event meet Apeejay Zenith-2023 is not only a mere competition, but it acts as a catalyst for positive change and growth in the academic and personal lives of the students. We are happy to see a massive participation and wish all the best to student participants, teachers, and sponsors of the event who have contributed towards the success of this event.”
Speaking about various activities at the fest, Mr Daljeet Singh Matharu, Assistant Professor, School of IT, Coordinator Apeejay Zenith 2023 said, “The atmosphere of competition always creates a motivating environment for the students to learn and excel and APEEJAY ZENITH 2023 is truly aimed towards this goal. It is like a stepping stone towards some greater accomplishments which the young students have in mind for their future. Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus provides all the competing school students a healthy and fair platform to higher levels of achievements in the field of dramatics, fine arts, literary arts and theatre. The objective is to provide adolescents a platform to showcase their acumen in diverse fields. The events covered in ZENITH 2023 were Business Plan, Debate, Henna (Mehndi), On
the Spot Painting, Solo dance, Solo singing, group song, group dance to name a few and all these are aimed at bringing the talent of the student to the forefront. It is noteworthy that every year we see an increase in participation at ZENITH. We promise to continue to host such events in the future.”
The event was a captivating celebration, highlighting the diverse cultural expressions of our community. Keeping up with the same spirit, Ms Rajinder Kaur, Assistant Professor, School of Management expressed, “Reflecting on Zenith, our inter-school mega cultural meet, I am truly impressed by the remarkable display of talent, creativity, and unity among the participating schools in Jalandhar. My sincere gratitude to the schools, participants, and organizers for their unwavering enthusiasm and dedication, which collectively made Zenith-2023 an unforgettable and successful cultural extravaganza.
