Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, celebrated “Mother’s Day” showcasing a deep appreciation for life’s first teachers within the school community.
The celebrations commenced with the lighting of the lamp, an act performed in various cultures as a gesture of bright and positive beginnings. Mr AK Sharma, the School Principal, then welcomed all the guests and thanked them for their presence. He also highlighted the importance of Mother’s Day to honour the timeless bond of motherhood. According to him, a mother is indeed the first teacher and the root of an individual who helps to build them up, nurture and support them in achieving anything in life.
Students expressed their love towards their mothers through some wonderful dance, songs and poetry performances. The dance and modelling presentation by mothers and children won many hearts at the event. As part of fun activities organised for mother and children, they also engaged in flameless cooking. There was a feeling of gratitude towards mothers’ love and effort in every corner. Many other games were arranged for the mothers too and winners were awarded with appreciation certificates.

To conclude the programme, Mrs Loveleen Bagga, Vice Principal of the school, congratulated all who were present for the event. She thanked the mothers for their love and care. She also thanked all the members of the staff who put their best efforts for making this event a grand success. Her speech reflected how important a role of working together plays to make an event so memorable.
