Recently, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Haryana Day with great zeal and patriotic fervour, to honour the state’s glorious heritage and achievements. The event marked the formation of Haryana, which came into existence on November 1, 1966, and served as a tribute to its rich traditions, valorous spirit, and cultural diversity.
The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge and prosperity, followed by the melodious rendition of the Haryana gaan, which evoked immense pride among all present. The school campus resonated with excitement as students presented a vibrant lineup of cultural performances showcasing the essence of Haryana’s folklore and traditions.


A captivating ragini presentation by senior students enthralled the audience with its rhythmic verses and rustic charm. The energy soared with a lively Haryanvi folk dance celebrating the joyous spirit of the state’s rural life. Students also participated in a quiz competition on the state’s history, geography, and prominent personalities, impressing everyone with their enthusiasm and awareness.
Adding a literary flavour to the event, students recited inspiring poems in both Hindi and Haryanvi, while others delivered powerful speeches on Haryana’s remarkable contributions in sports, agriculture, and defence. A highlight of the day was a humorous yet meaningful Haryanvi play that depicted the simplicity, resilience, and honesty of the people of Haryana. The audience responded with thunderous applause, appreciating the students’ creativity and acting talent.


The school Principal, Dr. Vineet Vasishtha, who graced the occasion, congratulated everyone on this proud day. In his address, he commended the efforts of students and teachers for organising such a vibrant and meaningful programme. He emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage and taking pride in one’s roots, remarking that such celebrations foster unity, identity, and respect for traditions among the younger generation.

The performances reflected the vibrant culture and traditions of our beloved state. I deeply appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in making this day meaningful and memorable. Such programmes play a vital role in connecting our young learners with their roots and fostering pride in our rich heritage” Dr Vasishtha shared.



The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the atmosphere charged with pride and patriotism. The Haryana Day celebration at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, truly reflected the state’s essence: Courage, culture, and commitment, making it a memorable and enlightening event for all.
