The circle of life is more than a journey — it is a sacred bond connecting the past, present, and future. Embracing this philosophy, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II, hosted its much-anticipated Annual Day, celebrating the harmony in the dance drama The Chronicles of the Prideland. Rooted in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15 – Life on Land, the event reinforced the importance of balance in sustaining the delicate web of life.
The Chronicles of the Prideland was organised under the guidance and esteemed patronage of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. The guiding light and inspiration for the event was Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr Anup Kumar Mudgal, former Ambassador to Mauritius. The Guests of Honour were Guru Saswati Sen, Kathak danseuse and choreographer, and Maestro Shubhendra Rao, an eminent sitar exponent. Dr Neha Berlia was present for the event virtually.
The event united all to celebrate the students’ talent, dedication, and hard work, with a heartfelt welcome from management, staff, and Rhythmites’ little angels. “It is with immense joy that we welcome you to the 11th Musical Extravaganza of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II, where every rustling leaf, chirping bird, and roaring creature tells a tale of wonder and adventure,” Ms Shivani Nagpal said, who was also the Screenplay writer of The Chronicles of the Prideland.
She welcomed the Chief Guest, the Guests of Honour, and thanked them for their gracious presence on such a momentous day. A hearty and warm welcome was also extended to Ms Poornima Vohra, Education Officer, Apeejay Education; Mr Vivek Seigell, Senior Vice-president Corporate Affairs, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group; and Ms Rachna Jain, Incharge, Pre-primary, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.
This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by all the esteemed guests. Ms Komal Nathani, School Head, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II, and the director of this dance drama extravaganza welcomed all the guests with a green sapling and mementos.
Taking centrestage, Mr Mudgal addressed the audience, stating, “The future is not something we can simply predict but something we shape through our actions. When we discuss a ‘good life,’ we must ask: What does it truly mean? Traditionally, we associate it with wealth, large homes, and travel. However, as we pursue economic growth, we must recognise its impact on Mother Earth. Today, we celebrated Sustainable Development Goal 15 — Life on Land. But can we limit the idea of a good life solely to ourselves? We share this planet with millions of species.”
He emphasised the Earth’s finite resources, noting, “What should last a year is exhausted in just six or seven months. Our excessive consumption harms air, water, land, and biodiversity. To secure the future, we must respect the Earth’s capacity. Technology, once a tool for industrialisation, must now restore and protect our environment. As Mahatma Gandhi said, ‘The Earth has enough for everyone’s need, but not for one man’s greed.’ Only by maintaining the cycle of life can we ensure a sustainable and balanced world for future generations.”
”Speaking virtually, Dr Neha Berlia extended a heartfelt welcome to the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, distinguished guests, members of the Apeejay School, students, teachers, and parents.
“We are committed to providing a nurturing environment for our children, and Apeejay Rhythms Kindergarten stands as a testament to this vision. With its modern infrastructure, innovative curriculum, and dedicated faculty, our school epitomises excellence in early childhood education. Our child-centric approach fosters imagination, creativity, and exploration, ensuring that learning is an engaging and meaningful experience. We equip our students with decision-making, problem-solving, and research skills, preparing them for real-life challenges,” Dr Neha Berlia said.
The legacy of educational excellence, she added, is deeply rooted in the vision of her late grandfather, Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and continues under the dynamic leadership of her mother, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia.
“At the heart of our education system lies a seamless blend of Indian culture and global perspectives. We nurture resilience, creativity, and value-driven learning while also promoting arts, music, sports, and holistic well-being. As we celebrate the musical extravaganza, Chronicles of the Prideland, and the graduation of the batch of 2024-25, we reaffirm our commitment to shaping a future where every child can thrive and succeed,” Dr Neha Berlia shared.
She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Rhythms Kindergarten family — parents, teachers, students, and staff — for their unwavering support and dedication. A special appreciation also went to Ms Komal Nathani and her dedicated team, whose efforts continue to propel this school to greater heights of success.
With this, it was time for the tiny tots to take the stage and shine. Seated on colourful chairs, the little maestros mesmerised the audience with a delightful medley of songs, including Que Sera Sera, showcasing their impressive skills on various musical instruments. They brought to life the lively rhythms of the Bongo and Congo drums!
It was then time to share the various achievements of the institute and the various events it organised throughout the year. Ms Komal Nathani said that Apeejay Rhythms Kindergarten, GK II, takes immense pride in being recognised with numerous prestigious awards, including the title of Leading Pre-school in Delhi. In just 10 years, it has established itself as one of the most sought-after play schools in the country, providing a home away from home for young learners. The classrooms are designed to foster independence, curiosity, and experiential learning, she said.
“Education here goes beyond traditional methods, encouraging children to engage with their environment through meaningful experiences. The academic session is enriched with celebrations of both Indian traditions and global events, including Founder’s Day, Earth Day, International Workers’ Day, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Christmas. The Rhytmites also showcased their talent in arts and crafts on Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul’s birthday. The school’s foundational philosophy emphasises collaboration, respect, and trust between educators and parents, ensuring that every child receives the time, space, and support needed to thrive.
“Our sincere gratitude is extended to Mr Nishant Berlia, Co-Promoter Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University; Mr Aditya Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University; and Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University,” Ms Nathani said.
The moment everyone had been eagerly awaiting arrived — the tiny tots, aged one to five, took the stage! Drawing inspiration from the timeless classic The Lion King, The Chronicles of the Prideland transported the audience to the majestic Savannah, where themes of courage, unity, and the circle of life shape a young lion’s destiny.
The story followed Simba, a spirited lion cub destined to be king, who learns from his father Mufasa that true leadership is not about power but harmony and responsibility. The toddlers delivered an enchanting performance, captivating the audience with their adorable expressions, synchronised (and not-so-synchronised) movements, and infectious enthusiasm.
Dressed in vibrant costumes, they brought the Savannah to life, portraying playful lion cubs, cheerful jungle creatures, and energetic dancers. Their rendition of I Just Can’t Wait to Be King exuded confidence, while Hakuna Matata spread joy with its carefree spirit. With every graceful step, twirl, and expressive gesture, the little performers showcased talent, courage, and charm, earning a well-deserved round of applause from the audience.
It was then time to present certificates to the graduating Kinderkids. Mr Mudgal gave away the certificates to Ariana Jha, Garv Samvedi, Izaan Najm Khan, Kabir Sundariyal, Pinank Karamchandani, Ruwaan Anand, Vihaana Gurung, Vinishka Soni, Yuvien Jamwal, and Jameson Narengbam. Certificates were also given to the respective class teachers to be distributed to other tiny tots.
It was time for curtains, and the toddlers took the stage for one final bow. Ms Rabia Azim gave the Vote of Thanks. “It is with immense gratitude that I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event a grand success. First and foremost, I sincerely thank Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia for her support in making this event successful. We thank the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour for their esteemed presence,” she said.

The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem!
