‘Apeejay not only imparts knowledge but also instills essential life skills’

Sunaina Singh, the mother of Shivanya Mathur, a KG B student at Apeejay School, Noida, reflects on the family’s positive experience with the school. Can you share your overall experience with Apeejay School, Noida so far?

Our experience with Apeejay has been overwhelmingly positive. We always wanted our child to study in a school with a conventional teaching approach without unnecessary show-offs. We feel proud to have enrolled our kid in one of the best schools, not only in Delhi-NCR but all over India.

How would you describe your child’s journey at the school up to this point?

The journey has been amazing so far, and we can already see a budding and bright kid in her. We are looking forward to her future years in the school. 

What aspects of the school’s environment do you think have positively influenced your child’s development?

Among the different aspects, what has positively influenced Shivanya’s development the most is the individualised support teachers give as per her needs and the encouragement and positive reinforcement her class teacher, Simran Ma’am, provides. This has boosted her self-esteem and motivation to learn.

Could you tell us about the teaching methods and pedagogies you’ve observed at the school?

Experiential learning and progressive student-centered teaching methods have impressed us a lot. 

Are there any particular teaching approaches or techniques that you believe have been beneficial for your child’s learning?

Experiential learning has proven to be highly effective for our daughter, enabling her to apply what she has learned in real-world contexts. This approach has heightened her awareness of her surroundings.

How does the school encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students?

Incorporating educational technology and digital tools provides students with opportunities to engage in problem-solving activities, simulations, and data analysis. Also, creating a classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring their own inquiries is essential for promoting critical thinking, and Apeejay has done this very well.

Can you share insights into your child’s academic progress and achievements at Apeejay School Noida?

Shivanya is turning out to be one of the brightest in her class. She has been in the top 10 performers in many intra-class activities and actively participates in other extracurricular activities. All thanks to her class teacher, Simran Ma’am.

Do you think the school effectively balances academic and extracurricular pursuits?

The school understands that all work and no play will make Jack a dull boy. They have beautifully planned their curriculum to focus equally on academics and extracurricular activities. 

How does the school create a positive and safe learning environment for your child?

It is crucial for us as parents to have the confidence that our kid is in a safe place. Apeejay stands out among other schools because from the security guard to the Didis in school and all the teachers, everyone prioritises the kids’ safety. A positive teacher-student relationship has helped our kid openly communicate with her class teacher about her concerns and issues.

How does the school prepare students for their future endeavours, both academically and in terms of life skills? 

Apeejay prepares students for their future endeavours, both academically and in terms of life skills, through a combination of academic programs, extracurricular activities, and a supportive learning environment. The school focuses on critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as improving communication skills, contributing to overall personality development.
