A World Without Technology

Published

on

Imagine a world where the radiant screens go pitch black, the sounds of machines go silent and innovation decreases. No smartphones, no computers and no internet. Welcome to a bizarre and entropic society without technology where the world falls apart.

In the first six months, the global economy collapses and industries cease to exist. This would lead to unemployment and economic instability. Social networks will also cease to exist, leading people into isolation. No emails, social media, or phones will exist to connect with individuals. Transportation will be a challenging task.

Electricity will fade away leaving in a dark void. The absence of aerospace engineering and space technology will disrupt space organizations that focus on colonizing planets for the future of humanity, hence satellites and space crafts would fall from the sky causing severe damage to human society.

As months pass by environmental dystopia increases, and cities that once had a high population would be uninhabited. Rural areas would face big consequences such as impacting food production and distribution. Education will come to an end as schools and colleges shut down. Due to this knowledge transfer and skills development will come to an end. Due to reduced pollution nature will begin to thrive.

In the long term consequences, the loss of technology would be devastating. The lack of knowledge will curb creativity and innovation. Communities would fade away leaving people in depression and mental distress. The absence of aerospace engineering and space technology will terminate the chances of the development of humanity and colonizing other planets. Global instability would increase, leaving us in wars and conflicts.

The absence of technology would impact a person’s daily life and mental health negatively. Isolation, loneliness, and depression would be everywhere. Mental health issues would arise making anxiety and depression common.

However, in the middle of this chaos, some glimmers of hope would emerge. Air and light pollution will decrease and nature will begin to thrive. Humanity will adapt and rebuild according to their surroundings.

This experience will teach us to be grateful for the benefits of technology and its uses.

The sudden loss of technology will leave humanity into a dark void. However we can find opportunities to connect with nature and rebuild technology, we will be forced to reconnect our communities and rediscover our traditional skills. This sudden change will pave the way for a brighter and environmentally friendly future.
