The winter was at its peak in December 2021, and only a few days were left to welcome the New Year 2022. Ten years old Myra lived in Noida with her parents and younger brother Reyansh who was two.

One day, she heard that her family was going to their relatives’ house in Uttarakhand, Haldwani. After hearing this news, she was very curious to know when they were going.

After a few hours, she asked her mother, “Ma, when are we going to Haldwani? Her mother said “We are going on the 24th morning”.

Myra became slightly upset because she had to attend a Christmas party on 25th December, with her friends in her apartment complex.

Her mother said, “We as a family have not been anywhere in the past two years due to Covid-19.”  Then, she felt she should go.

When her family and she arrived in Haldwani, they explored the places nearby and had a lot of fun. The next day, they went to Nainital which was just 1.5 hours away.

In Nainital, they visited Nainital Zoo and went boating in the Naini Lake. The view of the lake was mesmerising. The next day, the family headed towards Kausani for two nights.

On their first day in Kausani, they decided to see a cave and a beautiful temple. Myra loved to witness the snowy peaks of Nanda Devi as the weather was sunny with fresh air all around.

On their way back to Halwani the family passed through the beautiful city, Ranikhet which is famous for terrace farming. The hills looked serene and brought with it a sense of joy.

Next morning they came home to Noida and welcomed the New Year 2022!
