A valuable lesson on an adventurous trip

Published

Once, there were four friends: Rohan, Ram, Mohan, and Sham, who lived in Dehradun. They decided to embark on an adventure trip to Maldevta, situated near the riverside, during their summer vacations. They were thrilled about the trip and sought their parents’ permission, but their parents didn’t allow them. Disheartened and disappointed, as they had already made many plans for their excursion, they were determined to find a way to go. To deceive their parents, they told them that they were going for a day out at each other’s places.

Finally, the day arrived, and they collected some snacks and their pocket money, reaching Maldevta by a local bus. The weather there was fantastic. They played various games near the riverside and enjoyed their snacks. As it started getting dark, they decided to head back home.

However, a mishap occurred when Rohan slipped and fell into the river. The children were terrified and called for help. Bystanders rushed to their aid, saving Rohan, who suffered minor injuries due to the river’s rocky terrain. The children were extremely grateful to the people who helped them, as their assistance averted a potential disaster. They immediately contacted their parents and confessed the entire story. Their parents arrived as quickly as they could and were shocked by their children’s disobedient act.

The children realised their mistakes and learned a valuable lesson. They decided never to disobey their parents and elders again, understanding the principle that “you reap what you sow.”
