Students of Class IV at Apeejay School, Pitampura, honour the heroes of Kargil

Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed to remember the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War. Marking the occasion, students of Class IV-A at Apeejay School, Pitampura, recently conducted a special morning assembly that brought together history, patriotism and a sense of gratitude.

The programme began with the morning prayer, followed by the ‘thought of the day’. The message focused on the idea that true courage lies in serving the nation selflessly. The news segment then covered important national, international and sports updates, along with the weather report.

Students also spoke about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Through an informative talk, they explained the historical importance of the Kargil War and highlighted the bravery shown by Indian soldiers while protecting the country’s borders. The presentation gave the audience a clearer understanding of the events being remembered and why the day continues to hold deep meaning for the nation.

Patriotism through words and performance

A moving recitation drew attention to the valour and sacrifices of the Indian armed forces. This was followed by a soulful patriotic song that filled the atmosphere with pride and respect for the country.

The assembly concluded with a vibrant dance performance that reflected unity, courage and love for the motherland. The colourful presentation and enthusiastic participation of the students held the attention of the audience and received warm appreciation.

The programme ended with a meaningful message for everyone present. Students were encouraged to honour the sacrifices of soldiers by becoming responsible, disciplined and compassionate citizens.
