Apeejay School, Model Town students take flight beyond frontiers through creativity
Class IX students explore migration, global connections and creative expression through the British Council RIDS initiative
Apeejay School, Model Town, organised a creative and thought-provoking activity titled ‘Flight Beyond Frontiers – Chronicles’ for students of Class IX, as part of the British Council RIDS initiative. The activity aimed to encourage students to explore themes of migration, global interconnectedness and cultural exchange while expressing their learning through a range of creative formats.
Under the guidance of their teachers, the students embarked on an engaging journey that extended beyond geographical boundaries. A key focus of the activity was the fascinating world of migratory birds, through which students explored migration patterns, interesting facts and the remarkable journeys undertaken by birds across continents.
The students also contributed to a shared sky map, creating a visual representation of their collective learning and understanding. This collaborative element encouraged them to connect individual perspectives with a larger global narrative.
The ‘Chronicles’ brought together a rich collection of student voices, achievements, poems, articles and creative expressions, reflecting the enthusiasm and imagination of the young learners. Through their contributions, students explored ideas related to movement, discovery, diversity and the connections that bring people and places together.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to go beyond conventional classroom learning and engage with a theme that combined research, creativity, collaboration and reflection. It also encouraged them to appreciate the world from multiple perspectives and understand how learning can transcend borders.
