The JEE Advanced 2026 results, declared on June 1, brought pride and relief for thousands of aspirants across the country. Conducted by IIT Roorkee, the exam saw 1,79,694 candidates appear for both papers, out of which 56,880 qualified, including 10,107 female candidates. Among them were students whose success came from discipline, steady revision, family support, and a clear sense of purpose.

Meet Rishit Mittal (2629), Vansh Garg (2947), Gavyum Garg (5570), Rituparna Debnath (6921), and Naman Sachdeva (7011) from Apeejay School, Pitampura. They not only brought laurels to the school; they also made their families proud.

Rishit was extremely happy and grateful for his results. “Seeing the outcome of years of consistent effort and dedication feels truly rewarding. At the same time, I see this achievement as the beginning of a new journey, not the final destination. It motivates me to aim higher and keep pushing my limits,” he shared.

His plan is to pursue a Physics and Mathematics-intensive branch of engineering at one of the top IITs. In the long run, he hopes to pursue a master’s degree from a leading university abroad and work in deep-tech domains.

What helped him was consistency. “I focused on understanding concepts deeply, solving challenging problems, and learning from different approaches. Whenever preparation felt exhausting, I focused on daily goals and small improvements. My advice to aspirants is to trust the process, avoid comparisons, and keep working towards long-term goals,” he added.

Vansh, who dreams of getting into the IITs, kept himself focused throughout his preparation. “I set small daily targets, revised topics the same day, completed my homework regularly, and avoided creating backlogs. Mock tests and previous years’ papers gave me confidence and helped me understand my mistakes. Whenever I felt pressured, I took a short walk or a small break. “I plan to join IIT Delhi or IIT Kanpur and may pursue my master’s from abroad later,” he shared.

His advice to other students is simple. Work hard, stay determined, follow your teachers and mentors, give many mock tests, and analyse your mistakes carefully.

For Gavyum, JEE preparation never felt forced. “I developed a disciplined routine early on, and gradually began to enjoy the process. My family and teachers supported me whenever I felt low or tired. I want to pursue research in semiconductors and nanotechnology, preferably through Electronics Engineering or Materials Science. IIT Kanpur appeals to me because of its strong research culture.

Understanding the reason behind every concept helped him the most. “I also kept identifying areas where I could improve. My parents, teachers, friends, brother, and school supported me throughout this journey,” he added.

Rituparna had calculated her marks after the official answer key was released, so the result was expected. Even then, she was very happy with it. “I followed a simple routine where I studied for one hour and then took a short break. I focused more on strengthening concepts than cramming. “I wish to pursue higher education in the US, preferably in software or Mathematics-oriented computing,” she said, and added that her advice is not to focus on the past. “Think about what you can do now to cover what you missed,” she opined.

Naman stayed consistent by focusing on daily goals instead of worrying about the final result. “The support of my parents, teachers, and friends kept me motivated. I revised concepts multiple times, made short notes, and worked more on topics where I made mistakes. Mock tests helped me improve my speed, accuracy, and time management,” he said.

This achievement taught him that consistent effort and self-belief matter more than short bursts of hard work. “Small improvements every day can lead to big results,” he said in conclusion.
