‘This school provides a secure environment for students’ 

Meet Mr Maninder Palsingh, father of Jashandeep Singh, a Class XI student at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi. In a candid interview, the father shares his perspectives on the school and the long association with the school, academic support, faculty experiences, student safety, parental involvement, and how the journey has been made easier for his son to shine.

How has your overall journey been?
It has been a largely positive journey. I have been associated with the school since 2006, with both my children studying here, which has helped me build long-standing relationships and maintain regular communication with teachers and school authorities over the years.

How have the teachers been in supporting your son’s studies?
Teachers have been supportive and cooperative with us throughout the years. Without their constant support and guidance, nothing would have been possible.

How has your long association helped in parent-school communication?

Since I have been connected with the school for many years, I share cordial relations with the staff and management. This long association ensures open communication, mutual understanding, and generally positive feedback, allowing parents like us to share concerns comfortably when required at all times. 

Do you participate in school events and celebrations?

The school regularly invites parents to events like Annual Appreciation Day celebrations, and I usually make it a point to attend. Although I could not go this year, I have participated consistently in previous years whenever invitations were extended by the school management team. 

Is your son involved in extracurricular activities?

At present, my son is mainly focused on academics due to exams. Earlier, he actively participated in sports and other activities, but this year, he has consciously reduced his involvement to concentrate better on studies and manage academic responsibilities effectively with clear goals in mind.

How do you view the school’s safety environment?

From a safety perspective, I feel the school provides a secure environment for students. Entry and exit are monitored, and children are handed over only to authorised individuals, ensuring that there have been no major safety-related concerns so far for parents like us always reassuring.

Does the school take parent feedback?

The school does take feedback from parents periodically. I personally met the school Principal and shared my observations. Such interactions are important, as they reflect the school’s willingness to listen and improve existing systems for better student outcomes overall, continuously ahead.
