An Investiture Ceremony is more than a formal event; it is a celebration of leadership, responsibility, and trust. It signifies the beginning of a new chapter where students take on the mantle of guiding their peers with integrity and commitment. Recently, the Multipurpose Hall of Apeejay School, Nerul, resonated with pride and purpose as the school hosted its much-awaited Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26.

The event commenced with a warm floral welcome for the Chief GuestACP Vinay Baburao Ghorpade of Thane City Police. Adding to the glory of the occasion were the Guests of Honour, two distinguished alumni: Captain Rajesh Nambiar, Master Mariner and Director of N Corp Maritime Pvt Ltd, and Dr Rashi Agrawal, Consultant Paediatric and Adult Endocrinologist at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

The dignitaries were received by the school Principal, Mr P Subhash, who, along with the guests, lit the ceremonial lamp symbolising enlightenment and the quest for knowledge. In his address, the Principal congratulated the newly elected Prefectorial Board, reminding them that leadership is about responsibility and setting the right example.

The most awaited moment, the oath-taking ceremony, followed. The newly appointed student leaders pledged to uphold the school’s values and lead with sincerity. They were then adorned with sashes, badges, and house flags, marking their official induction. The introduction of House Masters reinforced the support system that would guide these leaders through their journey.

A melodious performance from the school choir further elevated the atmosphere. Inspiring speeches followed this: the Head Boy spoke passionately on “Leadership and Motivation,” while the Head Girl reflected on ‘respecting our alma mater’, urging students to honour their school through discipline and perseverance.

In his keynote address, ACP Ghorpade motivated students to lead goal-oriented lives, stressing that discipline and integrity form the bedrock of success. His words were met with resounding applause. The Guests of Honour shared nostalgic anecdotes, crediting Apeejay for shaping their values and professional journeys. They urged students to cherish every moment of school life, as it lays the foundation for future achievements.

Senior House Captains then read excerpts from the Prefects’ Handbook, outlining the principles of leadership and camaraderie. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem, leaving behind a spirit of pride, unity, and renewed commitment to excellence.
