Week-long celebration pays tribute to a mother’s unconditional love
At Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, the spirit of Mother’s Day was celebrated with heartfelt enthusiasm and creativity through a week-long celebration. The event highlighted the unmatched role of mothers in shaping the lives of children and recognised them as “a brilliant GEM to be treasured.” From thematic activities to emotional gestures, the week was filled with warmth, love and admiration.
Creative learning to understand a mother’s role
To help young students understand the essence of a mother’s love, teachers organised a range of engaging activities throughout the week. Thoughtfully planned thematic presentations, moral stories, dramatisations and short video clippings helped drive home the message. These interactive sessions not only captured the students’ attention but also encouraged them to reflect on the selfless contributions of their mothers in everyday life.
Principal Ms Sangeeta Nistandra addressed the students with an inspiring message. She urged children to develop virtuous habits and adopt ethical behaviour that would make their mothers proud and content. Her motivational words set a positive and thoughtful tone for the celebrations.
Tiny tots express big love
The little ones of the school stole the spotlight with their adorable gestures. With guidance from their teachers, the students created beautiful, personalised greeting cards, pouring their love, gratitude and creativity into every design. Watching the young children enthusiastically work on their surprises was a heartwarming sight for all.
But the celebration didn’t stop there. Teachers encouraged students to go the extra mile in making the day extra special for their mothers. The tiny tots presented hand-picked flowers, crafted handmade crowns, and offered thoughtful gifts to their mothers at home. These sweet acts of affection filled homes with joy and left many mothers emotionally touched and overwhelmed.
