Apeejay School, Noida celebrated excellence at their Annual Prize Giving Day

These events serve as a testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering excellence and encouraging students to reach their highest potential. They not only boost the morale of students but also inspire them to continue striving for greatness in their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated its Annual Prize Giving Day on July 27, 2024, in the school auditorium. The event was a momentous occasion dedicated to recognising and rewarding the students’ hard work and dedication throughout the previous academic year. The school honoured its top achievers for their exceptional academic performance.
The chief guest of the day, Mr Sanjay Shorey, Director General of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, received a warm welcome, heralded by the harmonious notes of the school band. A floral tribute to the revered Founder-Chairman, Dr Stya Paul, reminded all present of the enduring vision that has steered the school’s journey.
The programme commenced with a captivating orchestra performance that enchanted the audience and set the stage for a day of delightful cultural showcases. Ms Ritu Kohli, the Principal of the school, warmly welcomed the esteemed chief guest. Ms Amrita Hajela, the Vice-principal of the school introduced Mr Shorey to the enthusiastic gathering, highlighting the vision of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University and her remarkable career.
The ceremony began with an invocation of divine blessings and the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising enlightenment and a promising start. An invocation dance by the talented dancers added to the solemn and graceful ambiance of the event. In her address, Ms Kohli underscored the importance of cultivating appreciation and gratitude, core values that should be instilled in students from an early age.
Upholding school’s tradition of recognising outstanding performance, awards, and accolades were presented to the meritorious students by the Chief Guest and the Principal. These awards celebrated the students’ dedication and success across various disciplines, reinforcing the school’s mission to nurture talent and ambition.
The award ceremony was interspersed with vibrant dance performances that encapsulated the essence of joy and freedom. The choreography, colourful costumes, and enthusiastic performances created a spirit of celebration and harmony. Traditional dances representing various states and their cultures, such as the Gondhal Dance and Matki Dance.
In his address, Mr Shorey congratulated the winners and commended the school and its teachers for their exemplary work. He emphasised the importance of not overburdening children and allowing them to pursue their passions.
The event culminated in an electrifying grand finale, a dazzling performance representing the diverse states of India, which left the audience spellbound. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone who contributed to the event’s success, followed by the National Anthem, a powerful reminder of unity and pride.
