A recent LinkedIn survey highlights the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the career advancement of Indian professionals. The survey, which gathered insights from 2,142 full-time and part-time employees, revealed that 62% of respondents believe AI is crucial to their career progression. As job roles evolve, 40% identified integrating AI into daily tasks as the most significant opportunity for workers in India.

The survey also noted a 117% surge in LinkedIn Learning courses focused on AI among non-technical professionals in the past year, underscoring the rising demand for AI knowledge. Additionally, 90% of professionals expressed the need for more guidance and support in navigating their careers, particularly in a rapidly changing work environment.

Flexible work models remain a key area of interest, with LinkedIn data showing a 123% increase in posts mentioning flexible work over the past two years. This shift indicates how professionals are adapting to companies’ evolving return-to-office strategies. The survey also revealed that 63% of respondents recognise the need for continuous learning, while 41% believe upskilling is essential for career growth.

Video content has become the preferred format for professional learning, with 49% of respondents favoring short video clips and podcasts. These formats, especially when featuring real-world anecdotes and unscripted discussions, are seen as valuable tools for making informed career decisions.
