Some school recognise that senior students have diverse learning styles, interests, and abilities. “Therefore, this school implements differentiated instruction strategies to accommodate individual learning needs, including small-group activities, project-based learning, and hands-on experiences,” shares Indrajit Borah whose son Bidroom studies in class XI at Apeejay School, Saket.

Excerpts from the interview

How has your son’s journey been so far?

The journey so far has been excellent for my son. Since Apeejay is one of the most reputed schools, they maintain a healthy and a very friendly environment for the students. The teachers here are also very experienced as I have observed.

How are the teachers here?

The teachers believe in giving us very accurate feedback about my children. They are excellent in assessing the students and conduct regular PTMs to keep us informed about the progress too. Moreover, there are WhatsApp groups, class-wise, handled by the teachers where we can find regular updates for our children.

Why did you select Apeejay for your child?

I came to Delhi in 2015 and started looking for the best school. After several applications, we found out that Apeejay was at par in terms of the school environment; it is very nice and conducive for the young children. So once my son was admitted here, I decided to put my second son also here.

Define your parenting mantra.

We as parents believe in supporting our children throughout their endeavours. We are always there as guides for their studies and keep on motivating them to achieve their best.

What does your son aspire to be in future?

Bidroom has taken PCM in class XI and the school has also initiated a few career counselling programmes which is a really helpful step in my son’s progress. After several sessions along with the teachers we found out his inclination for Math so he will choose his career accordingly in future.

Do you agree that school is the second home for a child?

Yes of course! Nowadays, both parents are usually working and in such a setup, school plays a prime source of influence over children. More than 60 per cent of their time is spent in the activities at school so it automatically becomes equivalent to a home.
