‘This school has helped my son explore his hidden talents’

One should not impose academic pressure on a child believes the mother of a student studying in Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park

Every child is born with innate talent which requires proper guidance to help them to unveil it. Imagine, what a big loss it would be for the student as well as the institute if a hidden star goes unnoticed. Therefore, as a parent, you must choose a school for your child that will not just nurture them academically but also foster them to keep exploring extracurricular activities.

One such institute is Apeejay School. The highlight of the school is that there are exceptional teachers who take the reign in their hands and help students explore their talents. Therefore, parents like Dr Deepa Anil Kumar, mother of Advait, studying in Class IX, at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, had no second thoughts when it came to choosing this school for her son.

In an impromptu interview, the mother believes that this school has shaped her son in the best possible way, and speaks highly of the teachers and the diverse curriculum followed.

How has been your child’s experience so far?

Advait was admitted to Apeejay right from the nursery. He loves going to the school and is very comfortable with its environment.

Is he involved in any extracurricular activities?

He remains highly active in annual and cultural events. He finds utmost pleasure in taking part in annual functions and cultural events. Although he is not particularly inclined towards sports or specific games, his enthusiasm shines brightly in the realm of other activities happening at the school.

An aspect of the school’s curriculum that has positively impacted his learning.

Although many aspects have helped him grow positively; to mention a specific, the teachers here are very supportive. With the constant encouragement of teachers, Advait has become more confident. He has an innate passion for writing stories.

Do you support his passion for writing?

Absolutely. I am a devoted mother and I respect what my son’s preferences are. For that matter, whatever he wants to take up as his career, I will be sporting him every step of the way.

How do you support his education at home?

Luckily, Advait is relatively a good student. He follows his timetable diligently and takes aspects of studying very seriously. I don’t have to encourage him to study at home, rather I become his helping hand whenever he is facing certain doubts in any of the subjects.

Any recent achievement of your child.

As much as mentioned above, Advait is a bright kid. He always secures his remarkable position in the top three students of his class. Since has a great knack for writing, recently his article was published in a well-known magazine — Current Conservation.

How do you spend quality time with Advait?

As a working woman, it’s a little difficult to manage our time for home and career. I make sure to give some time to my son by engaging with him in different activities, conversations, and meaningful discussions. Over time, we have strengthened and nurtured our bond within the confines of our home.

What is the one thing which you appreciate the most about the school?

The teachers of this school are very friendly and approachable. Moreover, the way the school promotes extracurricular activities helping each child take part in different activities, is a great way to evoke a sense of confidence amongst the students.
