Mrs Shweta is a homemaker and proud mother of Gungun, an extraordinary 4-year-old artist, who has captured the hearts of viewers worldwide through her YouTube channel, TINY TAKER. Gungun is currently a U.K.G-D student at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, where she engages in her academic pursuits alongside her vibrant hobbies of dancing, exploring sports like badminton, and showcasing her innocent and playful personality through her videos.

Gungun embarked on her YouTube journey when she was just 1.9 years, with the unwavering support and guidance of her mother. Since then, her channel has flourished, amassing an impressive followers of over 1.35k subscribers, who eagerly wait for her captivating content.

In this exclusive interview, we delve into the charismatic world of Gungun and her YouTube channel. Read the edited excerpts of Gungun mother’s interview:

How did you and Gungun first come up with the idea of starting a YouTube channel together?

The idea of starting a YouTube channel with Gungun came to me during the challenging COVID-19 period, when my elder daughter began attending online classes. Gungun, being the cheerful and curious child, would often unintentionally interrupt her sister by engaging with her teachers and saying things like “Good morning, Ma’am!” or “Thank you, Ma’am!” Surprisingly, her teachers would warmly respond to her sweet gestures. Recognising the need to find a solution that would allow her sister to focus on her studies, I decided to start a YouTube channel with Gungun called ‘TINY TAKER.’

What inspired Gungun’s love for dancing and sports like badminton? How do you support and encourage her in pursuing these hobbies?

Gungun’s love for dancing was evident through her spontaneous dance performances whenever she watched TV shows or heard Bollywood songs like Le Gai Le Gai” and Indhar Chala Main Udhar Chala. Recognising her passion for dance, I enrolled her in the best dance school in Jalandhar for Kathak classes. In addition to dance, Gungun also finds great pleasure in playing badminton, especially when she gets the chance to engage in friendly matches with her elder sister. As parents, we support and encourage her by providing her with opportunities to explore and practice her interests.

Can you tell us about the process of creating videos for Gungun’s YouTube channel? How do you come up with ideas for content?

The credit goes to Gungun’s father, who works in the Punjabi music industry. He helps me with the audio/video work, and composing music for the channel. His expertise in the field allows us to explore various technical aspects of video production, including the utilisation of a green screen for certain videos. Over the last 3 to 4 years, I have gained valuable skills and knowledge in creating and editing videos, ensuring that each video on Gungun’s channel is polished, engaging, and visually appealing.

How do you balance Gungun’s participation in the YouTube channel with her academics and other activities?

The support and cooperation from Apeejay Pre-Primary School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, have been instrumental in balancing Gungun’s participation in the YouTube channel with her school and other activities. I prefer making videos on the topics and activities she is involved in at school and other events, ensuring that her education remains a priority.

What has been the most rewarding part of running the YouTube channel with Gungun? Have you noticed any positive impact on her overall development?

Running the YouTube channel with Gungun has been incredibly rewarding. I have noticed a significant boost in her confidence as she eagerly and enthusiastically engages in video-making. It’s delightful to see her take initiative by grabbing my phone, setting it up on a tripod stand, and recording videos of herself, while playing with her younger sister. The YouTube platform has provided her with a wonderful outlet to express herself and showcase her talents.

Can you share any memorable or funny moments you’ve experienced while filming videos for the channel?

Filming videos with Gungun can sometimes be a challenging task, but it has also led to many memorable and funny moments. There is one particular funny video that I uploaded on YouTube, showcasing the behind-the-scenes bloopers.

With such a marvellous number of subscribers on TINY TANKER, how do you handle the responsibility of creating content that is both entertaining and suitable for young viewers?

It is a significant responsibility to create content that is entertaining and suitable for young viewers. While shooting the videos, I always keep in mind the interests and preferences of young toddlers and small kids, as well as their parents. I strive to provide engaging and valuable content that appeals to the target audience while ensuring that it is appropriate and beneficial for them.
