‘Thanks to Apeejay, Rama Mandi, both my daughters have zero stage fear and consistently score over 95%’

Sukhwinder is a homemaker and her husband Daljeet Singh is in the leather export business. They are proud parents of Simarpreet Kaur and Harnimrat Kaur. The former is in class 10 while the latter is in class 6 of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. In an interview, she talks about the progress made by her children after joining the school.

Why did you pick Apeejay over other schools?

Choosing the right school is of paramount importance to parents. We did a thorough research to select the best school for Simarpreet. We had heard great things about Apeejay from our relatives and friends. We also analysed the Board results of various schools in our vicinity and found that the students from Apeejay had got the best scores. After evaluating all these parameters, we got Simarpreet enrolled in UKG.

Are you happy with your association with Apeejay?

Of course. My daughters have made rapid progress over the years. Talking about Simarpreet, her confidence has shot through the roof. When we enrolled Simarpreet in school, we were not sure whether or not she would open up. I remember, two or three days after joining the school, Simarpreet had to perform on stage. After her performance, one of the teachers said to us that Simarpreet exhibited immense potential. Over time, the teachers have encouraged her to participate in various extracurricular activities and now she has zero stage fear. Simarpreet is doing great academically too. She has consistently scored more than 95 %. In class 8, she was awarded the Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values which is given to students who exemplify and exhibit good human values in their day-to-day life. Harnimrat, too, is doing well in all aspects of school life. Like Simarpreet, she too consistently scores over 95%. Do you think we would have got Harnimrat enrolled in Apeejay, if we were not happy with the progress of Simarpreet?

Tell us about the teachers?

The teachers have been extremely supportive. They teach with full dedication and encourage students to clear their doubts. Even if students or parents gets in touch with them after school hours they are always welcoming. Both my children do self-study and don’t take tuition classes. We don’t think the school is lacking in any aspect.

It was always my dream that Simarpreet should bag the Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values and when it became a reality my joy knew no bounds. In class 6, Simarpreet also won the ‘All Rounder’ award. She will appear for class 10 Boards this year and I am sure she will make her school proud.
