Exams test us on multiple levels, from practice and discipline to mental fortitude, stress management, time management, and effective revision. When it comes to the highly coveted NEET exam, the pressure increases exponentially.
At Apeejay School, Saket, students understand that excellence is the key to overcoming any challenge life may present. Pankaj and Aman have demonstrated this with their remarkable scores in the NEET 2024 exams.
Focus is the key
Pankaj achieved an outstanding score of 529 marks. Reflecting on his preparation schedule, the topper shares, “I studied for 5-6 hours a day. I was good at Biology, but Chemistry required more effort. Therefore, I dedicated a lot of time on Organic Chemistry numericals and focused on the exceptions in Inorganic Chemistry.”
Pankaj further added, “My school teachers were incredibly supportive. Whether it was conceptual clarity or guiding me in the right approach to numericals, their assistance was invaluable.” Aspiring to become a neurosurgeon, Pankaj credits his ambition to the web series The Good Doctor, which inspired him immensely.
Perseverance and hard work
On the other hand, Aman scored an impressive 516 marks in the NEET 2024 exam. He says, “I studied up to 8 hours a day. Among my subjects, Chemistry was my favourite and the most enjoyable, while Physics was slightly more challenging. However, I persevered and succeeded.”
Aman adds, “Our school teachers provided us with numerous worksheets and notes, which greatly aided in effective revision.” He notes that while managing exam stress was relatively easy, managing time during the exam was more difficult. “With enough practice, I adjusted to the sense of time and quickened my pace of writing,” he states.
Aman aspires to become a veterinary doctor and aims to pursue a Bachelor’s in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry. He credits his inspiration to his elder brother and uncle, both of whom are successful veterinary doctors.
Pankaj and Aman’s achievements highlight the exceptional support and guidance provided by Apeejay School, Saket, and their unwavering determination to excel.
