As placement season gathers momentum at Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, the campus has transformed into a vibrant space buzzing with ambition, preparation, and excitement. From classrooms and media labs to corridors and discussion corners, students can be seen actively preparing for interviews, refining resumes, discussing current affairs, and supporting one another through one of the most significant phases of their academic journey.

The atmosphere at AIMC during placement season is a unique blend of nervous energy and determination. Students pursuing journalism, advertising, public relations, and digital media are spending long hours sharpening their communication skills, improving presentation techniques, and gaining a better understanding of industry expectations. Mock interviews, group discussions, and personality development sessions have become an integral part of daily campus life.

Faculty members at AIMC play an equally important role during this period. Whether it is helping students prepare for aptitude rounds, reviewing resumes, conducting interview practice sessions, or clearing last-minute doubts, the support system within the institute becomes stronger than ever. Teachers and mentors guide students not only academically but also emotionally, helping them stay confident and focused during the demanding placement process.

One of the most noticeable aspects of the campus vibe is the spirit of collaboration among students. Despite competing for opportunities, many students can be seen helping each other prepare for interviews, discussing possible HR questions, exchanging notes on current affairs, and practicing communication skills together. Library spaces, media labs, and open discussion areas remain lively with conversations centred around placements, career aspirations, and future goals.

Emphasising how placement preparation keeps aspirants stay updated, Sharan Matharu, pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Mass Communication, said, “Preparing for placements motivates us to stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve ourselves.”

Students also spend considerable time staying updated with industry trends, media developments, and corporate communication practices. Newspaper reading, analysing campaigns, following brand strategies, and understanding the changing media landscape have become part of their daily routine. This preparation reflects the institute’s emphasis on building industry-ready professionals who possess both theoretical understanding and practical awareness. “The pressure is real, but it also prepares us for real-life responsibilities and helps us become more resilient and career-ready,” mentions Varisha, pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Mass Communication at AIMC.

Another student Sunidhi Malik, studying Television and Radio Journalism/Production, said, “Placement preparation pushes us to improve their communication, confidence, and practical skills before entering the professional world.”

The placement season also highlights the transformation students undergo during this time. Nisha Tanwar, Corporate Communication and Event Management, AIMC highlights, “Placement season encourages students to step out of their comfort zones and become more confident during interviews and group discussions.” Many students who initially entered the institute with hesitation and uncertainty are now confidently appearing for interviews, participating in discussions, and presenting themselves professionally before recruiters. The journey from classrooms to corporate interviews reflects their growth in confidence, communication, and personality.

Another defining feature of placement season at AIMC is the balance between professionalism and positivity. While students remain focused on securing opportunities, the campus also carries moments of encouragement, celebration, and motivation. Every successful placement becomes a source of inspiration for others, creating an atmosphere of optimism and collective achievement.

As companies from the media, communication, and corporate sectors visit the campus, AIMC continues to witness an environment driven by dreams and dedication. Placement season is not just about securing jobs; it is about preparing students for the professional world, helping them discover their strengths, and shaping their future careers.

Sharing her thoughts Dr Mudita Raj, faculty member at AIMC, said, “As educators, we understand that exams and placements can feel overwhelming for students at times. At Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, our focus is on supporting students through mentorship, encouragement, and practical exposure, helping them grow into confident, capable, and industry-ready individuals.”

At AIMC, the placement season truly reflects the spirit of learning, perseverance, and ambition—where every interview, every preparation session, and every opportunity becomes a stepping stone toward a promising future.
