Merry Christmas: Navi Mumbai school rejoices in Yuletide cheer with colourful performances

Apeejay School, Nerul, organised an elaborate Christmas celebration on the premises to welcome the season of merriment. Students put up a special programme to mark the festivities of the day.

The campus was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and Yule decorations. Students, on the other hand, lit up the stage with bright and cheerful performances.

The celebrations commenced with a prayer from the Bible, followed by an enchanting presentation by the school choir, who spread the message of peace and gaiety. Students sang melodious Christmas carols which added to the festive cheer, from “Jingle Bells” to “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” that reverberated around the room. 

What added to the festive cheer was the entry of Santa Claus as students cheered on to express their excitement. It made the ambience pleasant and exuberant.

Shakuntala Singh, academic coordinator, Apeejay Nerul, addressed the students and spoke about the significance of the festival. She said, “Happiness lies in sharing the joy and staying together as a family.”

The children carried home the message of sharing and caring as well as the pleasure of spreading peace, true to the spirit of celebration. The event turned out to be a grand success.
