Rohit Rewari, a student of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), cracked campus placements to get a job in marketing at HDFC Bank. The student, who will join the company as a personal banker, is on the verge of completing his MBA with specialisation in Operations and Marketing. He tells us about how his mentor at ASM prepared him for the job interview.

Excerpts:

Are you happy with your placement? How did you prepare for the interview?

I am very happy with the placement. As for the prep, ASM’s placement cell organised special classes to train us. We were assigned mentors who helped us work on our profiles and prepared us for job interviews.

What kind of mentorship and guidance did you get from the professors?

I learnt a lot from my mentor Pragya Arya, assistant professor at ASM, about how to clear a job interview. She also prepared me for the written test. We also did many mock group discussions and interviews, which were very helpful in facing the interviewer on the final day.

All my professors at ASM have been very supportive and encouraging. From understanding fundamental concepts to being well-versed with the current trends, they took care of every aspect.

Any particular tip from her that you always kept in mind?

Pragya ma’am advised me to not lose my confidence in front of the interviewer under any circumstances.

Tell us about your overall experience at ASM.

Overall, I had a great experience at ASM. Apart from academics, I also participated in various programmes and took up responsibilities that have helped shape my personality. The experience boosted my confidence and made me a multitasker.

How excited are you to start your professional journey? Are you ready for the challenges?

I am very excited! I am ready to face any challenge, and I have to thank Apeejay for teaching me perseverance and determination, which, I believe, will help me overcome all problems.
