Education is cornerstone of bond between India-US: Jill Biden

Recently, during her visit to the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia, First Lady Jill Biden expressed the belief that education serves as the foundation for the strong bond between India and the United States.

At a ‘Skilling for Future’ event, she highlighted that students from both countries are engaging in mutual learning and personal growth, discovering their aspirations and working together to construct a better world. Biden further stressed the collaborative potential of both nations, affirming that by working alongside each other, they can foster a safer, healthier, and more prosperous future for all.

Furthermore, she underscored the significance of investing in young people as a means to bolster the economies of India and the US. She also highlighted the need to provide deserving youth with ample opportunities to fulfill their potential.

“We are bringing together our entire administration, including agencies like NSF to partner with employers, unions, schools and local governments so we can ensure that students have what they need to pursue these careers. That’s the Biden education pathway. It starts with free, high-quality, universal free school and creates a high school experience that prepares students for their next steps,” the First Lady of the US said.
