Saanvi Sharma, a Class 10 student at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida, has shown remarkable growth since joining the school in Class 7. Her father, an engineer and entrepreneur running his own IT company, shared how the school has been a significant part of her transformation – both academically and personally. In a telephonic conversation, he reflected on Saanvi’s journey and the supportive environment at Apeejay.
How has Saanvi evolved in academics and extracurriculars since joining the school?

Since joining in Class 7, we’ve seen a lot of positive changes in her. She has become much more sincere in academics and has started actively participating in school events like annual days and sports meets. In her previous school, she wasn’t very participative, but at Apeejay, she’s become more open and confident.
How is the school supporting her board exam preparation and overall development?
The board exams are just beginning, but the foundation laid by the school over the past few years is strong. Also, the teaching methods are very effective. She understands most concepts in class itself, which shows that the teachers use innovative and engaging ways to teach.
Have the teachers been accessible and supportive when needed?
Yes, absolutely. The teachers are approachable through WhatsApp and email. For instance, when Saanvi had COVID during one of her UTs, the entire school staff, including the teachers and Principal ma’am, were very supportive and helped us through the situation.
Do you see improvements in her thinking and problem-solving skills?
Yes, definitely. Over the years, we’ve observed that she’s becoming better at understanding and solving problems. Her aptitude and critical thinking skills have improved thanks to the school’s curriculum and teaching style.

What are her interests beyond the classroom, and how does the school encourage them?
Saanvi is passionate about football – that’s her favorite activity. She has also taken part in dance and singing during school events. The school gives her ample opportunities to explore her interests beyond academics.
How do you stay informed about her academic progress?
PTMs are very informative and regular. We receive honest and constructive feedback from teachers, which helps us understand her strengths and where she needs to improve. That’s why we make it a point to attend every PTM.
