A sticky situation: When glue takes over

Troubles in life can take many forms, and one of them is the menace of glue. Liquid glue, to be precise. It has a way of wreaking havoc and causing chaos in our lives. Let’s delve into a particular incident where glue turned everything upside down.

It all began on the 4th of January, just 15 minutes into the day. Exhausted from three consecutive sleepless nights, I finally dozed off, hoping to start the New Year with a burst of productivity. But my peaceful slumber was abruptly interrupted by a shocking discovery.

As I groggily reached for my phone, I noticed an unusual amount of whiteness around me. It felt like I had stumbled into a ghostly realm. Panic surged through my body as I imagined the worst. I soon realised that the whiteness was a puddle of glue, covering not only my table but also my laptop and numerous books.

Frantically, I moved my belongings away from the gluey mess, trying to salvage what I could. Some of my books were spared, but unfortunately, others were not so lucky. The floor also fell victim to the glue’s sticky grasp.

After securing my belongings, I attempted to clean up the mess. It was a tedious process, involving hours of scrubbing and scraping. I tried various methods, including hand sanitizer, to dissolve the glue, but it stubbornly clung to every surface. The sight of my laptop covered in glue was particularly devastating. I tried my best to remove the sticky substance from its delicate ports and vents, resorting to using safety pins with utmost care.

Despite my best efforts, the damage was done. Nevertheless, I felt a sense of relief that it still worked, even though my fingers reeked of glue.

Despite the challenges I faced, I believe I handled the situation well. I managed to prevent further damage. My laptop and I have survived this ordeal, and our bond has grown stronger through adversity. I now keep my laptop safely stored in a bag, a precautionary measure to avoid future mishaps.
