An investiture ceremony is a proud moment for every school. It is a great platform to develop the leadership qualities in students and to give them a cursory idea of administrative body functioning.

Taking this tradition forward, the new student council for the upcoming session was constituted for Apeejay International School, Greater Noida.

Young leaders were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and competence. The school celebrated this occasion by organising a Virtual Investiture Ceremony for students of class 5 (Junior Council) along with class 11 and 12 (Senior Council) on September 20.

The ceremony began with Class 9 student Prabhraj Singh delivering a mesmerising percussion performance on the tabla.

The esteemed Chief Guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, Vishal Pandey along with the Principal Sarita Pande lit the lamp to commence the event.

It was followed by a melodious Ganesh Vandana performance by Aradhya, student of class 6.

The ceremony was then taken forward by Ms Maninder Kaur, Senior-Secondary wing coordinator. She informed the audience about the student council members and the election process.

The elected appointees were invested with their respective designations, as proud parents made their wards wear the sash virtually.

Chief Guest Vishal Pandey told the students that leadership is cultivated by the decisions we take in testing situations. “Circumstances cannot stop a leader from fulfilling his/her duty.  A leader must be passionate towards the responsibility given, this alone is the test of a leader,” he said

The Principal, Dr. Sarita Pande, congratulated the newly appointed school council members and urged the students to conduct their duties honestly and whole-heartedly.

She then administered the oath to the members of the student council emphasising upon the motto: ‘Soaring high is my nature’. The principal also advised student council members to conduct themselves with sincerity and dedication without fail.

The outgoing head boy Ritik Khulbe and head girl, Ashmita Singh Panesar shared their experiences which motivated the council members to give their best. The event concluded with the national anthem.

“I encourage the students to follow their path with the acronym FAR which symbolises F: Fortitude in the face of adversity; A: To be ardent about the things you do; and R: Relentless in their pursuit of excellence.”
