At Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, parents often point to the school’s nurturing environment and its focus on safety. Priti Bansal, mother of Pritish, a Class 7 student at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, is a teacher herself and looks at the school with a professional eye. In this conversation, she explains why she chose Apeejay, how the school communicates with parents, and the changes she has seen in her son.

When you were getting Pritish admitted here, why did you choose Apeejay?

The environment here is closely linked to children’s language and habits, and that’s why we chose Apeejay. As a teacher, I know how much a child’s surroundings shape the way they speak, behave and learn. I felt this school offered the right atmosphere. It was entirely our own decision, based on what we saw of the school’s environment and values.

Do you feel the thought behind admitting Pritish here has been fulfilled?

Yes, most definitely. Our reasons for choosing Apeejay have held up well. His education, sports and personality are well growing. I have seen positive changes in him. I thank Apeejay School for the same for keeping up its standard of education.

What do you think about the way teachers teach the children?

The teachers follow the NCERT-based curriculum, which gives children a strong and structured foundation. Subjects like Maths and Science are always more rewarding with regular practice. I feel the teachers are supportive in helping children build that practice. As a parent, I like that the school is open to feedback on how children can be helped further.

If you have a complaint or concern is raised, do you think the school and teacher provide you a solution?

Yes, they respond well, especially during the PTMs. The teachers listen patiently to what parents have to say. That open communication gives us a lot of confidence.

Do you get timely communication, such as circulars or information about events like the Winter Carnival?

Yes, we receive all the notifications through the school app. Everything reaches us on time, so we’re always informed about what’s happening. In case we need to ask for some activity, we can message the teacher and as soon as she sees the message, she responds to the best of her knowledge.

Since Pritish joined, what changes have you seen in him, academically and in personality?

His personality is developing nicely. He has grown more confident and well-rounded. A lot of that comes from the range of activities and the environment the school offers. Academically, I believe he is on the right path. With steady practice and the teachers’ guidance, I’m confident he will keep progressing. He has participated in sports activities also. He enjoys being part of these activities, and they’re an important part of his growth.

Do you feel the school is safe?

Yes, absolutely. From the point of view of safety, it is 10 on 10. As a parent, that gives me complete peace of mind. Sometimes if a student is injured during sports day or playing activity, then school calls immediately and takes care of the situation right away. That quick response is something I really appreciate.
