Three students from Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, reflect on their Class VIII final results and their success mantra

Every academic year leaves behind more than just report cards. It brings quiet lessons in effort, discipline, and self-belief. As students move forward, they begin to understand what works for them, where they struggled, and how they grew through the process. Their reflections reveal not just scores, but the habits, choices, and support systems that shaped their journey.

Meet three such students: Riyansi, Sidhima Sangwan, and Pallavi Jangra from Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. In a candid interview, they share that teachers’ guidance was a game-changer for them.

Riyansi, who recently developed a passion for sketching, attributed her improved academic performance to a shift in mindset.

“I was determined to do better in Class VIII, and that sense of purpose helped me stay more focused. Subjects like History were challenging at first, especially with so many dates and events to remember. I made small lists and broke the content into simpler parts, which gradually made the subject easier and even enjoyable,” this now Class IX student said.

Her study routine was not overly strict. However, she stayed attentive in class and relied on regular lessons and tests to stay on track. During the winter break, she studied for about one to one and a half hours daily, increasing her effort closer to exams, especially for subjects with vast syllabi.

“My teachers supported me by explaining concepts through relatable examples. My History teacher especially made lessons engaging through storytelling. I especially enjoy English for its simple, interesting stories,” she stated.

Pallavi prefers to stay disciplined and committed to her work consistently. Performing well in the finals came from steady effort and a clear focus on understanding concepts rather than simply memorising them.

“One topic I truly enjoyed this year was Coordinate Geometry. It helped me see how Math connects to real life through graphs and positions. Plotting points made the subject feel more visual and engaging, which made learning more interesting. My way of studying is quite simple but effective. I begin by paying close attention in class so that my basics are clear. Whenever I have doubts, I ask questions without hesitation. After that, I practise different types of questions to strengthen my understanding,” this Class IX student said.

The best part was that she received constant support from her teachers and family. “My teachers guided me patiently and cleared my doubts, while my parents ensured I had a calm study environment and stayed motivated,” she said in conclusion.
