Recently, Apeejay’s IB School, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park, hosted a heartwarming event — the Reception Graduation Ceremony. The celebration marked an important milestone for the youngest learners of the IB Primary Years Programme, as they completed a year filled with wonder, learning, and joyful exploration.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome by Ms Sameeksha Bhatt, the PYP Coordinator of the school. She greeted the enthusiastic gathering of parents and families who had come to witness their children’s special day. Her words set the tone for the morning — one of pride, reflection, and celebration.

Little graduates, big smiles

As the Reception students entered the venue, the audience broke into cheerful applause. The young graduates were brimming with excitement. Dressed in their graduation attire, their beaming faces reflected the pride they felt in this moment of achievement.

The event continued with delightful performances by the Reception students. They sang, danced, and participated in an energiser activity, charming the audience with their enthusiasm and growing confidence. These performances showcased their creativity and the skills they developed throughout the year, a clear reflection of the school’s nurturing environment.

A teacher’s heartfelt message

Ms Rachna, the class teacher, then took the stage to share a moving speech. She spoke fondly of each child’s journey — from their first day as shy learners to becoming confident, expressive individuals. Her words struck an emotional chord with parents and educators alike, as she described the small yet powerful moments that made the year memorable.

The most awaited part of the event was the Certificate Distribution Ceremony extended by the Principal of the School, Mr Purshottam Dutt Vashist. One by one, each student walked up to receive their graduation certificate. The proud cheers and applause from parents and teachers created an atmosphere of pure joy. It was a moment of pride and recognition for every child’s hard work and growth.

A memorable conclusion

To close the event, Ms Sameeksha delivered a Vote of Thanks. She expressed gratitude to the dedicated teaching staff, the supportive parents, and the school leadership for working together to shape young minds. Her heartfelt thanks highlighted the collective spirit of the school community.

The celebration concluded on a high note, filled with laughter, hugs, and photo moments. For the Reception students, it was not just the end of a school year, but the beginning of many exciting learning journeys ahead.
