The CBSE Class 10 Science Board exam was conducted on February 20, 2025 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The question paper consisted of 39 questions, totalling 80 marks, with a time limit of three hours. All questions were mandatory, though some included internal choices, allowing students flexibility in their responses.
The question paper was categorised into five sections: A, B, C, D, and E, each designed to evaluate different aspects of students’ understanding like comprehensive assessment of conceptual clarity, application, and analytical skills.
The Section-wise breakdown of the paper is as follows-
According to Ms Monisha Mathur, TGT Science at Apeejay School, Nerul, “The 2025 Science question paper was of moderate difficulty, making it a balanced assessment for students. Compared to last year, the paper was easier, allowing students to attempt questions with more confidence. The time management aspect was well-structured, and the paper was manageable within the given time limit of three hours. Students were able to complete the question paper within the stipulated time.
“Many students found certain sections relatively simple, particularly numericals, objective questions, and case-based questions, which required direct application of concepts. The overall format ensured that students who had prepared well could comfortably complete the exam while testing their conceptual clarity and problem-solving abilities effectively,” the educator shared.
