Students of Apeejay School, Kharghar participated in an annual sports event
Sports are integral to a child’s holistic development, fostering discipline, teamwork, and a love for fitness. Apeejay School, Kharghar, celebrated this ethos through its much-anticipated Sports Day, Supernova 2024, on December 14, 2024. Organised by the Foundational Stage classes (nursery to class II), the event radiated energy, enthusiasm, and camaraderie.
The day was graced by an esteemed panel of dignitaries, including Chief Guest Mr Sanjay S. Kadu, along with Mr Shubham Giri, Mrs Jyoti Chopra, and Mr P. Subash, Principal of Apeejay School, Nerul. Their presence uplifted the occasion as they shared motivational insights, emphasising the role of sports in building character and fostering team spirit.
The event commenced with a symbolic balloon release, a vibrant spectacle that signalled the launch of Supernova 2024. The cheerful sight of balloons ascending to the sky mirrored the excitement in the air, setting the tone for the day.

A highlight of the event was the walkathon, featuring students of all grades. It was a heartwarming display of synchronisation and teamwork as the young participants marched with enthusiasm, creating a lively and electric atmosphere. The drills, performed with remarkable precision and energy, reflected the hard work and training of the students. Nursery students charmed the audience with their adorable and spirited performances, drawing loud applause from everyone present.
The energy soared during the competitive races. From sprints to relays, students showcased speed, agility, and determination. The parent races added a delightful twist to the day’s proceedings. Parents participated with vigour, running alongside their children, and creating unforgettable moments of fun and unity.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging the exceptional efforts of the students. Applause and cheers resonated as winners received their medals and certificates, celebrating their achievements.
The Supernova 2024 was more than just a Sports Day. It was a day of unity, pride, and joy. It brought the entire Apeejay School, Kharghar community together, instilling a love for sports and the values it nurtures.
