Arjun Khanna, a budding young author from Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, has recently published his book Mystery of Bermuda Triangle. At only 12 years old, Arjun’s passion for storytelling and exploration shines through his words. In this interview, Arjun shares his journey, from early inspirations and school support to future writing plans.
Arjun, since when have you been writing creatively?
I wrote my first book about two years ago, when I was 10 years old. It was called Trip to Dubai.
But what gave you the inspiration to write a full fledged book?
My mother encouraged me to write, and she introduced me to Bribooks.com, where I could shape my story with pictures and even publish it. That’s how it all began.
So, please tell us about your new book?
My latest book, Mystery of Bermuda Triangle, features a character named Alex who embarks on an adventure in the Bermuda Triangle. Along the way, he uncovers a series of mysteries. To discover more about Alex’s journey, readers can buy the book on Bribooks.com and Amazon.
Imaginative and fun! So, what sparked your interest in the Bermuda Triangle?
I watched a video about the mysteries surrounding the Bermuda Triangle, and it made me curious. I thought it would be exciting to write about it from my own imagination.
And how long did it take you to write the book?
It took about four days. I had to think things through carefully and type it all on my laptop, so I couldn’t do it all in one go.
Do tell us how your school nurtured your talent?
I’ve been at Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar since pre-nursery. My school has been a huge support. My teachers have helped me strengthen my English skills, especially Ms. Namrata Sharma, my English teacher, who always encouraged my writing. My class teacher, Ms. Nidhi Mehta, also motivated me to participate in verbal competitions, building my confidence. I’m grateful to all my teachers and to our Principal, Ms. Priyanka Grover, for their encouragement.
What can readers expect next from you?
I’m planning a series of books featuring Alex, “The mysterious traveler,” as he explores different places. I hope readers will support me by buying this book and encouraging me to continue writing.
