On a pleasant morning right before the festival of lights, the Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, was filled with thrill, enthusiasm and joy. The Institute hosted ‘Apeejay Zenith 2024’, its much-awaited inter-school event designed to bring together student talent from across Punjab.
The event attracted over 1,000 students from 32 schools who participated in 20 competitions, including Business Plan, Debate, Rangoli, Group Dance, Folk Dance, LAN Gaming, Science Model Exhibition, and more. Notable participating schools included MGN Public School, Apeejay School Mahavir Marg, and Cambridge International School.
The inaugural ceremony began with a lamp-lighting led by AIMETC’s Director, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, who emphasised the educational value of such events in fostering growth, learning, and competition. In his welcome address to all the students from 32 schools, he said, “Participation in such events is more important than winning. It is imperative that students be given maximum opportunities to showcase their talents for their holistic and harmonious development.” Further, he said that such competitions have great educational significance as they help polish the intrinsic potential of the students and rekindle their passion and zeal for learning.

Throughout the day, students showcased impressive performances in various competitions. The quality of talent made it challenging for judges to decide on winners, highlighting the dedication and effort each student put forth. A presentation on AIMETC’s achievements and programs was also shown, enhancing participants’ awareness of the institute’s offerings and commitment to academic and co-curricular excellence.
In the closing ceremony, Dr. Bagga presented trophies to winners, and mementoes were awarded to judges. MGN Public School, Urban Estate, Jalandhar, clinched the Overall Trophy for outstanding performances across categories, while Cambridge International School, Co-ed, Jalandhar, secured the Runner’s Up Trophy. Event coordinator Mr. Daljeet Singh Matharu concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to participants, judges, and organisers for a successful event.

Apeejay Zenith 2024 exemplified the potential of such gatherings to inspire young minds, providing a vibrant platform to explore and develop their skills across disciplines, furthering AIMETC’s mission of fostering well-rounded individuals.
