When it comes to celebrating culture and diversity, Apeejay Stya University (ASU),  Gurugram is a step ahead. Recently, the University hosted  India Day 2024, which was a vibrant celebration of India’s rich culture and heritage. The event brought together participants from 12 countries and 29 schools, including Kenya, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, The Philippines, and more.

This special event aimed to foster respect and friendship among students worldwide through cultural exchange. One of the standout activities was the India Quiz, which challenged participants’ knowledge about Indian cuisine, heritage, and more. This interactive quiz not only entertained but also educated, allowing participants to learn fascinating facts about India’s diverse culture.

Further, participants were introduced to various aspects of Indian life, including the vibrant Diwali Festival, traditional Indian music, and popular sports and dance forms. A particularly engaging segment was the language exchange, where participants learned how to greet people in various Indian languages, reflecting the country’s linguistic diversity.

Another enriching part of the program involved sharing experiences of school and student life in India. Participants heard firsthand accounts from Indian students and teachers about their daily routines, studies, and extracurricular activities, offering a glimpse into the educational landscape of the country.

Sharing his thoughts, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Program Coordinator and Professor at School of Education at Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram highlighted, “India Day 2024 was not just an event, it was a step toward building friendships and respect among young people across the globe.
