Branching Out: This school celebrates green triumphs
The proceedings of the day at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri were aimed at building closer relationships within the school community
Last week, Apeejay School Charkhi Dadri marked a significant day in its calendar (July 27, 2024) with a vibrant Plantation Drive and the launch of its inaugural newsletter, Spectrum. This major event, with highly revered guests and enthusiastic participation from within the school community, further reiterated the goals of environment sustainability and effective communication which the institution stands for.
The day kicked off with an inaugural plantation drive by Municipal Committee Chairman Mr Bakshi Saini and Block Officer Mr Shakti Singh. Their presence inspired all with the philosophy of becoming good eco-social workers and attracted tremendous responses from parents, students, and staff.
The school premises were thronged with families who eagerly planted a wide variety of trees. So that as many students as possible could take part, the programme was worked out on PTM day to infuse responsibility in all for augmenting the green cover of the school, individually and collectively.
Community Collaboration
The venture was supported by local dignitaries, thereby making it an example of collectivism towards a greener future. The speeches by Mr Saini and Mr Singh brought to the fore the important role tree plantations are playing in mitigation against climate change and maintenance of ecological balance. Dr Vineet Vashishtha, Principal of Apeejay School Charkhi Dadri, thanked the visiting dignitaries and reiterated the commitment of the School towards community integration.
Spectrum: A New Channel of Communication
The school also launched its official newsletter, Spectrum, aimed at free and frank communication amongst its members. This inaugural issue was released by Mr Saini and Mr Singh to mark a new beginning in strengthening stakeholder engagement and honouring the achievements of schools.
Alumni Inspiration: The Personal Touch
Graced by the presence of its most famous alumna, Dr Ravi Sehrawat, and Ms Ritu, the programme solemnly witnessed insights into the long-term benefits associated with environment conservation. Their participation created a deep furore to inspire the attendees to sustain the initiative as a collective responsibility.
The day summed up with great success regarding both the Plantation Drive and the inaugural show of Spectrum, which set Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, at par with proactive environmental concerns and effective communication. More than anything else, the proceedings of the day were aimed at building closer relationships within the school community and laying precedence for further ongoing initiatives dedicated to sustainability and dialogue.
Be it community spirit, environmental consciousness, or simply, effective communication, everything about the Plantation Drive and Spectrum launch at Apeejay School Charkhi Dadri was tangible. As the school furrows on its path toward a greener future, the impact of the initiatives taken shall echo positively toward building a more strongly bonded and participative school community.
