Self-assessment allows teachers to reflect on their teaching methods, identify areas for improvement, and adapt their strategies to better meet the needs of their students. By evaluating their performance, teachers can identify and address gaps in their instruction, leading to more effective teaching and improved student learning outcomes. For the same, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri organised an enriching series of workshops and seminars from July 2-3, 2024.
The workshop aimed at enhancing both, personal development and teaching methodologies. These sessions, facilitated by dedicated educators, covered a range of insightful topics, reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic education and continuous improvement.
The first workshop, held on July 2, focused on Self-Assessment and Developing Positivity. It was presented by Mr Kuldeep Singh, PGT of English, and Mrs Abba Gupta, PGT of Biology. Their session explored techniques for self-reflection and cultivating a positive mindset, crucial aspects in nurturing student growth and personal well-being. They emphasised the importance of self-awareness and maintaining a positive outlook, both essential for personal and academic success.
Following this, Mr Ashok Kumar, PGT of Physical Education, and Mrs Poonam Sharma, PRT, led a workshop on Stress Management. This topic is particularly relevant in the educational context, addressing ways to cope with academic pressures and promote mental health among students and educators alike. They provided practical strategies for managing stress, enhancing resilience, and maintaining mental well-being in a demanding academic environment.
On July 3, Mr Pankaj Kaushik, TGT of Science, and Mrs Jyoti Goyal, PRT, presented a session titled Motivation and Goal Setting. Such workshops are essential for inspiring students to set achievable goals and stay motivated throughout their academic journey. The session highlighted effective goal-setting techniques and motivational strategies to help students remain focused and driven.
