Under the visionary leadership of esteemed Ms. Reetu Betala, Founder Director of Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), students from the institute embarked on a transformative 30-hour journey delving into the symbiotic relationship between design and nature. The initiative, aptly titled “30 Hrs. of Value Added Learning Experience,” aimed to cultivate a deeper understanding of design principles rooted in the natural world.
Throughout the immersive experience, students were immersed in a series of workshops, market studies, and hands-on projects, all centered around the theme of nature and its surroundings. Guided by AID’s Director, budding designers explored the rich intersection of creativity and nature, translating their insights into unique artistic visions.

The design process week unfolded as a holistic exploration of nature as the central theme, providing students with a transformative learning experience. Through experiential learning and creative exploration, they integrated principles of sustainability and biomimicry into their design processes. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, they gained a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of design and the environment.
In the end, students expressed profound gratitude for having received this invaluable opportunity to participate in the intricate design process. They highlighted that the skills and knowledge acquired during the initiative would serve as a strong foundation for their future academic and professional pursuits.

This innovative initiative not only empowered students to become more conscious and conscientious designers but also instilled in them a sense of responsibility towards creating innovative solutions that honor and protect the beauty and diversity of the natural world. With Betala’s unwavering support and guidance, students emerged from the experience equipped with new insights, perspectives, and a renewed commitment to excellence in design.
